London to Edinburgh

This is going to be an amazing club trip. To confirm, club trips are internally developed and managed, and is not handled by an outside tour company. Think of this trip more as traveling and exploring with friends - old and new. Price includes round trip air from New York.
On Friday, May 20, 2022 we'll all meet in New York and board our overnight flight to London. We'll spend four days and nights there, exploring some of the top attractions. You'll have one free day to explore on your own or as a group. Then we'll take a high speed train up the eastern side of the island, arriving in Edinburgh, Scotland in about 6 hours. We'll take this train around midday so we can see this beautiful countryside.
Then we'll spend four days and nights exploring this magical country of Scotland.
$2,950 per person double occupancy includes:

$800 single upgrade
Meals will be at your expense except for our farewell dinner in Edinburgh.
We may offer a post-trip extension to Northern Ireland if there's enough interest.
Friday, May 20
This evening we'll board our overnight flight from New York to London, England.
Saturday, May 21
Upon arrival, we'll transfer to our 4-star, centrally-located Beverly Hotel. Each room will be furnished with two double beds. The hotel is an easy 10-minute walk to either Buckingham Palace or the River Thames. Afternoon will be at your leisure to rest and explore. This evening we'll meet for dinner as a group.
Sunday, May 22
Today we'll explore this city's historical heritage - Buckingham Palace, Parliament, Big Ben, London Bridge, Westminster Cathedral, St. Paul's Cathedral, and the Tower of London. We'll have dinner as a group.
Monday, May 23
On Monday we'll finish seeing anything we missed, and the balance of the day will be yours to explore this historic city. This evening we'll see a performance at The Globe Theatre (optional; tickets extra)
Tuesday, May 24
Today we'll take an all-day group bus tour, just for our group, to see Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and the city of Bath, famous for its Roman baths. Dinner as a group.
Wednesday, May 25
Around mid-morning we'll transfer to Kings Cross Station for our 5-hour train ride along the east side / coast of England and Scotland. Expect to see some spectacular vistas! We'll arrive later afternoon in Edinburgh's Central Station and transfer to the Destiny Scotland Royal Mile Residence, directly on the Royal Mile (High St.), a wide street filled with unique shops of all kinds that connects ancient Edinburgh Castle with the Palace of Holyrood, the Queen's summer residence. We'll have dinner as a group.
Thursday, May 26
On Thursday we'll explore Edinburgh, including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, The Royal Yacht Britannia, and the Palace of Holyrood. In the afternoon, we'll hike up to Arthur's Seat for a spectacular view of the city.
Friday, May 27
Today we'll take an organized tour, just for our group, to see Loch Ness, Glencor, and the Scottish Highlands. We'll meet back at our hotel that evening and have dinner as a group.
Saturday, May 28
We'll leave open our last full day. We may as a group decide to visit some sights we missed. Or we may decide to explore one of my favorite cities and its environs individually or in small groups. In the afternoon we'll join a whisky tour to sample some of the country's best Scotch! Afterward we'll meet for our farewell dinner (included), hosted by a local family in their home!
Sunday, May 29
On Sunday, we'll transfer to the airport for our flight home, arriving the same day.
The Beverly Hotel is a 4-star hotel, centrally located and an easy walk to many historic sights. Bedding is kings and doubles.
Destiny Scotland Royal Mile
Our 4-star hotel in Edinburgh is directly on the Royal Mile, and consists of 2 and 3-bedroom apartments with kitchen. Bedding is kings and doubles.
Parliament and Big Ben
You'll see plenty of seals, sunning themselves, playing, and fishing.
Train Route - London/Edinburgh
Our train ride will take us through the heart of England and Scotland with picturesque vistas at every turn.
We'll spend a full day exploring the Scottish moors, Loch Ness, and several villages along the way.
Old Edinburgh and Castle
We'll be staying in Old Edinburgh, at the foot of ancient Edinburgh Castle, and an easy walk to the Palace of Holyrood.
